a nice white border around the images which would co-ordinate with the ephemera and stickers used in the collection. Is that being too fussy?! Lol I like a nice white border! So after fussy cutting all the butterflies from the 12x12 and 6x6 Paper (minus a few that Adison stole lol) I sat down and set about my design. I have been drawn to large circular focal points on layouts recently and had initially thought to do the same on this page, but while sifting through the embellishments I came across a chipboard book. Would’nt it be neat if all the butterlies were flying out of the book?! That is how this layout came about. I love the background paper for this layout but also think that the butterflies would have been just as if not more effective on a pure white background. Some soft white tissue and 2 other patterned papers provide a mat for the photo as well as 2 other patterned papers punched with my notebook punch down the left side, these provide grounding for the photo and chipboard book as well as helping to distinguish them from that pink background paper.
All in all very little actual embellishments were used from this collection but the butterflies from the patterned papers add a real bang, lifting the wings adds dimension which in turn casts lovely shadows amongst the cluster. The title is made from gold puffy stickers from Maggie Holmes Gather collection and the large Chipboard “Dreams” is of course from the Chasing Dreams chipboard sheet. It’s growing on me.... and of course it’s in my usual “heavily embellished” style and I am perfectly okay with that!
