Hi guys! Finally a new blog post! I know! It's been while :) So if you didn't already know I've joined The Southern Girls Design Team who holds challenges over on their blog every month. This challenge is for Team Trace and the theme... you guessed it! Glitter! Easy right?!
Well not so much... I have never worked with restrictions before, or with a specific prompt so this is an entirely new ball game for me. I'll be honest, my DT project that I'm posting here is not my first attempt, but my second. I was not at all happy with my first (boy am I glad I wasn't procrastinating on this project).
The sponsors for this challenge are Krafters cart, an awesome scrapbooking store in Auckland, New Zealand...
So let's get to the details... I chose to feature the Mama Elephant Little Reindeer Agenda stamp set that I recently purchased from Krafter's Cart, and of course a lot of glitter.
These versatile and super cute little images lend themselves well to a variety of projects so I decided on some tags... shaker tags. So I set about creating my tags.
As I didn't have a die tag large enough to accommodate the type of project I wanted to create I gravitated toward my Silhouette Cameo... and she never fails. Bingo a tag in my design folder, perfect to create tags of any size.
I cut the tags on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and went about making the tags. An ink blended background, a few trees, some snowy hillsides, little reindeer and of course an abundance of snow (in the form of sparkly white glitter) makes for a super cute tag to pop on any gift this Christmas. A sentiment on the back and I was done! I love the fact that there is a tonne of glitter in the little shakers but its not cleanly done that its not in your face!
